The brainchild of Joey Little, aka Joey Bagzz of Topeka radio fame, "Fed and Faded" is a low-budget — make that virtually no budget — video series that follows a group of hungry guys and gals to area mom and pop joints, where we — the viewer — get to watch them wolf down an assortment of locally prepared, one-of-a-kind food items.

A limited number of tasting kits will be sold from 3 to 6:30 p.m. The winners will be announced at 8 p.m.
Added this year will be the Best Cheesesteak Award.
Cheesesteaks cut into five portions will be available at $1 a portion to taste or the entire sandwich can be purchased.
Live entertainment will be provided by In High Gear performing country music, and The Philly George Project performing blues, rhythm and blues, and Motown.

Well, Peter Rauch has created a DIY smoker that enables BBQ hosts to provide an emphatic and gratifying, "yes" to that question, and without draining the bank.
Rauch hooked up a power modulator, a heating element, a touch-screen control panel and two temperature sensors to create a self-cooking, SMS-ing smoker .
Users simply specify the preferred temperature for their cut of meat, and then wait for a text telling them it's ready.

The Triunfo YMCA will host an Indian Family Porgram registration barbecue from 4 to 7 p.m. Sun., Sept. 12 at Willow Elementary School, 29026 Laro Drive, Agoura Hills.
Children and their parents will learn about Indian Guides and Princesses, Trailblazers and Papoose programs.
YMCA staff and Y-Guide volunteers will be on hand to answer questions, demonstrate activities and sign up program members.
